Ryan Litchfield

BetterTrades Coach

When it comes to teaching students how to be calm and confident in trading the stock market, coach Ryan Litchfield is at the top of the list. Ryan puts his students through a training process that enables them to understand the proper way to react, regardless of what the market throws at you.

Ryan Litchfield calls this process bracket trading. He views each trade as a series of "if-then" scenarios. If this happens, then you do this. If that happens, then you do that. By making a trader aware of the possibilities, they become aware of what can happen during the actual trade. Such thorough preparation gives a trader additional confidence and makes them less fearful when participating under true market conditions.

This is part of the psychological training that Ryan prides himself on. He wants students to become mentally prepared to compete in the stock market. It helps students learn that trading the stock market requires some counter-intuitive thinking, much like those who pilot a big airplane. Sometimes a pilot will react to an emergency in a manner which may run contrary to popular thinking, but is necessary to salvage the airplane and save the people on board. Likewise, a trader may need to react in a way that goes against conventional wisdom (Ryan disputes the use of setting a stop loss, for example) when it comes to making a better trade.

Ryan Litchfield teaches students to overcome the mental hurdles and become proficient in bracket trading.
