Charitable Contributions of Freddie Rick
Freddie Rick and his wife, Mitzi, are supportive of many charities, both local and national. The Ricks believe in giving back to the community and focus most of their giving in the areas of their faith. As devoted Christians, they believe in supporting many charities and organizations that share their deep evangelistic beliefs.
One organization that Freddie gives to regularly is The Gideons, a group of
Christian businessmen and professionals devoted to handing out Bibles around the
world. The interdenominational group is made up primarily of members of Protestant
and evangelical churches. The organization gives away
Bibles throughout the United
States and in more than 180 countries around the world. The Gideons are also
primarily responsible for placing a copy of The Bible in millions of hotel rooms
throughout the world.
Another recipient of the Rick's charity is the Haggai Institute, an organization that trains Christians who live overseas in ways they can be influential in their own community. The main emphasis is to reach out and affect the non-Western world. The Haggai Institute has trained more than 50,000 leaders through its program. Each graduate has a personal goal to train one hundred additional followers. The Haggai Institute has placed leaders in more than 178 countries.
Joyce Meyer Ministries is another recipient of charitable giving from Freddie and Mitzi Rick. Joyce Meyer is commonly seen on television offering Biblical solutions to modern problems. Her ministries hold high standards of fiscal accountability. Little money that is raised goes to administrative or fund-raising efforts; 83 percent of the funds are put to use as tools to reach out to meet needs of the less fortunate around the world.
