Freddie Rick's Investment Strategy
When he left the U.S. Marine Corps, Freddie Rick settled in San Diego and opened a company that cleaned carpet. It didn't take long for Freddie to realize the business wasn't going to allow him to reach his financial goals, so he began to cast about for a new occupation.
A friend had gotten involved in network marketing and encouraged Freddie to give it a try. With his ability to explain things in simple terms (Freddie wanted to be a math teacher when he was younger) and his gift of public speaking, Freddie was quite successful. He rose to the top of two different companies, leaving both as the top revenue generator.
After emerging as the top producer for another company, one which sold financial education material, Freddie decided to go out on his own. He obtained several financial licenses and immersed himself in the drive to get smarter.
He opened a website called "The Gump Investor" and began to share his knowledge with other students of the stock market. He created a series of educational-based trading templates that helped him make better trades and incorporated them into his material. (Those same templates are used today at the Market Essentials class offered through BetterTrades.)
The Gump website grew into a subscription product. For a while, Freddie and Mitzi Rick allowed couples to spend one-on-one time with them and learn the trading system. Freddie then found other like-minded individuals to join him as coaches when he founded BetterTrades.
In 1998 he formed Long Term - Short Term, which is charged with using short-term strategies to provide long-term security. Long Term - Short Term is the parent company of BetterTrades, which was formed in 2002 to spread the news of potential financial independence.
BetterTrades has since become the No. 1 stock market education company in North America. It has realized Freddie Rick's dream of giving people the opportunity to change their financial future.
Freddie's most recent project is the formation of CodeReady Solutions in 2007, a company that provides help in strategy, graphic design, video production, hosting, search engine optimization, and web development. CodeReady is there to advise and consult companies through their projects with all the resources necessary.
