American Depository Receipt - Stocks representing shares in a foreign company that are sold on the US market
American Depository Share - A share sold under deposit agreement that represents a security in the issuers home country.
Arbitrage - A purchase and sell of a stock at the same time to benefit from a difference in price, usually done on different markets or exchanges
Ask - The offer price, or price the seller is willing to accept
Ask Price - The offer price, or price the seller is willing to accept
American Option - An option that can be excercised at anytime
Asian Option - An option where the payoff depends on the average price of the asset over a period of time.
Asset-or-Nothing Call - An option whose payoff is equal to the asset's price if the asset is above the strike price, otherwise the payoff is zero.
Asset-or-Nothing Put - An option whose payoff is equal to the asset's price if the asset is below the strike price, otherwise the payoff is zero.
At the Money - When the strike price of the option is the same as the market price of the underlying security.
Average Price Call - An option that has a payoff of zero or the amount that the average price of the asset exceeds the strike.
Average Price Put - An option that has a payoff of zero or the amount that the strike price exceeds the average price of the asset.
